Save the Children Australia manages and implements programs in Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. We also support development programs through our global networks in selected countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
SCA in Vanuatu Program aims to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people in the areas of health and well-being, child rights and child protection. We advocate on behalf of children and promote the rights of the child.
The Position
Reporting to the Santo Support Services Coordinator, the Supply Chain Officer is responsible for planning, managing, implementing and monitoring the daily activities of the supply chain function this includes procurement, asset, fleet and inventory management. A key component of the role is capacity building program offices to ensure that they are compliant with supply chain processes, policies and procedures.
This role is based on Santo. The successful applicant will be required to be based in Santo.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Applicants must have completed Year 13 high school minimum
► Applicants must have had at least 2 years experience in a similar role
► Good communication skills in Bislama, English and or French
► Applicants are required to have a clear police clearance. Save the Children has an obligation to carry out background and child safety checks.
Desirable Selection Criteria
► At least 2 years or more working in an NGO
► Experience working in a humanitarian response role
► Drivers license desired by not necessary
