The Organisation
The Department of Local Authority (DLA) and UNDP Governance for Resilience Project in Fiji have signed a partnership agreement in August, 2022. The partnership focuses on strengthening DLA’s capacity, processes and mechanisms for risk informed planning, financing, and implementation.
The Position
This position aims to enhance DLA's capacity to implement and monitor risk-informed community development projects, primarily managing and coordinating community grants in planning, financing, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Bachelor Degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, management or any social science field.
► Minimum of 5 years of experience in this field or similar.
► Experience in project management.
► Experience with delivering project management training.
► Sound Knowledge of Project Management, and Monitoring & Evaluation Strategies.
► Experience with project financing and reporting.
► An understanding of the Area Council and Provincial Council structures.
► Computer Literacy in MS Office suit including Excel, PowerPoint and email.
► Exceptional organising, planning and time management skills.
► Demonstrated ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff at all levels
► Demonstrated ability to think and analyze strategically
► Sound leadership and supervisory skills
► Exceptional communication and report writing skills
► Service oriented approach, with a commitment to supporting the operation and corporate environment of the organization.
