The Organisation

The Australian High Commission in Port Vila manages the Australian Government’s presence in Vanuatu. We promote Australia’s interests, facilitate international trade and investment, deliver development assistance, respond to crises and provide services to Australian citizens. The Position

Under limited direction, the Senior Program Manager will support the leadership of a small team to manage one or more sectors of the aid program in Vanuatu. The role requires providing high-level strategy, policy and program advice to senior managers in the Australian Government and to partners in Vanuatu.

Where the assessment panel deems appropriate, your application may be considered for one of the other program management roles.

Essential Selection Criteria

► The position requires tertiary qualifications as well as a minimum of five years technical expertise and/or experience in public policy, development or related sectors.

► An operational knowledge of aid management

► An operational knowledge of development policy

► Vanuatu Citizenship or residency and a police clearance

► Applicants must be eligible to work in Vanuatu

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Knowledge of Vanuatu and Government of Vanuatu systems and processes required for the position.
