The Organisation

Promoting a sustainable and inclusive Trade, the Ministry of Trade and Commerce is responsible for the productive sector and related economic activities. It works collaboratively with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries and Biosecurity and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management (MFEM) when it comes to bridging agricultural and financial developmental issues.

Whilst the Ministry of Trade and Commerce's involvement with the productive sector encompasses multiple dimensions, its main function remains policymaking. The ministry sets the medium to long-term direction for the industries, trades and professions that fall under its responsibility, supports their development and improves the business environment.

The Position

The Senior Compliance Officer will be responsible to undertake compliance and audit into allegations and legal issues relating to employment issues within the Ministry of Trade and Commerce.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Bachelor's degree in law or any related field

► 3 - 5 years' experience in any compliance role

► Research, investigation and audit skills

► Planning, reporting, and management skills

► Legal analysis and problem solving skills

► Proactive with practical and analytical thinking skills

► Computer literate with good verbal and written communication skills

► Ability to work in a team

► English or French and Bislama
