The Organisation

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Management (MFEM) is establishing a Program Management Unit within MFEM’s Corporate Services Unit. The Senior Adviser will be the first role established to support the Director General of MFEM.

The Position

The Senior Adviser will be responsible for overseeing the development of MFEM policies, monitoring progress against these policies, supporting MFEM’s business planning and corporate planning processes, monitoring progress against these plans and reporting on MFEM performance.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Masters in Project Management / Public Administration / Management Accounting or related field

► Competent in English or French or both

► Demonstrated experience in leadership roles in public or private sector institutions

► 5-10 years of project management/program management/management experience supervisory role(s) in public or private sector institutions

► Ni-Vanuatu citizen

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines

► Proven success working with all levels of management

► Strong written and verbal communication skills

► Excellent presentation skills, Computer Literate, Able to work collaboratively with others
