The Position

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Port Vila, Vanuatu and direct supervision of the Project Officer of Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) Unit, the role of Project Assistant is essential as s/he will be responsible and accountable for day-to-day implementation of multiple IBG projects and administrative functions for IOM Vanuatu office.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, International Relations or related fields or a school diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experiences.

► Proven work experience in liaising with government and other relevant stakeholders and lead the organization of meetings and trainings

► Extensive experience in providing administrative, financial and procurement support to the team and office.

► Ability to work under pressure and multi-tasking to meet the tight deadline.

► Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear and effective interaction with colleagues and project stakeholders

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Prior work experience with UN agencies is desirable.
