The Organisation
Palladium is a global leader in the design, development, and delivery of Positive Impact – the intentional creation of enduring social and economic value. REnew Pacific is a $75m investment by the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) under the Pacific Climate Infrastructure Financing Partnership (PCIFP), that will help deliver off-grid and community scale renewable energy in remote and rural parts of the Pacific.
The Position
The Portfolio Manager is an integral part of the REnew Pacific program and leads the in-country management of the program’s portfolio of renewable energy projects in Vanuatu. The Portfolio Manager will:
assist in the development and granting of projects,
manage the day-to-day interactions with recipient partners,
monitor progress and support implementation,
contribute to implementation of REnew Pacific strategies and plans including related to GEDSI, localisation and monitoring, evaluation and learning."
Essential Selection Criteria
► A degree in engineering, energy systems, natural resource management, or other relevant disciplines or equivalent level of experience.
► Demonstrated experience in portfolio management, rural and community development work and partnership skills.
► Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with limited supervision, to work to deadlines, and to balance competing priorities.
► Experience with managing and facilitating donor funded projects at community level in Vanuatu.
► Vanuatu citizenship or permanent residency
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Ability to prioritise, and work calmly under pressure.
► Experience with renewable energy projects in off-grid applications and/or demonstrated knowledge of renewable energy systems, with a focus on Vanuatu or Pacific islands is highly desirable.
► Experience in research and producing written summaries and analyses.
