The Organisation

Air Vanuatu is the National carrier of the Republic of Vanuatu and plays a pivotal role in supporting national development, particularly tourism.

The Position

The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Coordinator is accountable to the Chief Engineer for the day-to-day running of the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) department and ensuring workmanship on GSE equipment is of sufficient standard that the safety of passengers, crew, personnel and equipment is well maintained and within budget.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Experience in managerial positions

► Strong Communication Skills

► Be a former Tradesperson with experience of at least 5 years in the automotive industry, or similar field where mechanical equipment, gasoline and diesel engines are involved

► Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical field

► Have held a supervisory role in a workshop environment and be computer literate

► Be able to work with minimal supervision and follow instructions accurately

► Be capable of performing strenuous physical labour on a daily basis and must be fit and healthy with no ailments that could hinder assigned duties

► Great team player with the ability to listen, learn, and progress

► Must demonstrate a passion for providing accuracy and attention to detail
