The Organisation

Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) is implementing various initiatives funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), with support from Save the Children as the Grant Agent, from 2020-2023.

The Position

The GPE Finance and Procurement Specialist is responsible for the financial management, compliance, and procurement under the GPE program, ensuring adherence to Government of Vanuatu and Save the Children financial and procurement processes.

The GPE Finance and Procurement Specialist will report into the GPE Program Manager with close coordination with PEO Finance and PEO Procurement.

The initial contract will be for 12 months.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Graduate or post-graduate degree in financial management and/or procurement

► Strong financial analytical, planning and process management skills

► Knowledge of Government of Vanuatu or NGO financial management and procurement systems, policies and guidelines

► Highly proficient in project financial and procurement management, audit, record keeping and reporting processes

► Highly proficient in financial management software (experience with Government financial management systems is desirable)

► Fluency in Bislama and English

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Knowledge of French is desirable
