In Vanuatu, Save the Children has been working with communities and the government since 1984 across a range of thematic areas including education, health and nutrition, child protection, disaster risk reduction, and humanitarian emergency response.


The Position

Save the Children Vanuatu is seeking a Feedback and Reporting Mechanism (FRM) Consultant who will work in close collaboration with a core group of Save the Children Vanuatu program team members to contextualize Save the Children’s global Feedback and Reporting Mechanism Guidance to the Vanuatu country context. This will include the development of a Vanuatu-specific FRM Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that includes roles and responsibilities, tools for each stage in the FRM process, and corresponding information, education, and communication (IEC) materials to be displayed at the community level.


Following the development of the Vanuatu FRM SOP and associated tools, the consultant will be responsible for training all staff member in its implementation and use, in collaboration with the MEAL Advisor and MEAL Coordinator.


Essential Selection Criteria

► Knowledge and understanding of community development, child participation, child safeguarding, and community accountability mechanisms

► Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate teams to produce outputs on time

► Demonstrated experience in developing practical tools and templates and training staff in their use

► Fluency in English and excellent writing skills in English

► Applicant must have had experience working in a similar field

► Applicants are required to have a clear police clearance. Save the Children has an obligation to carryout background and child safety checks


Desirable Selection Criteria

► Knowledge of Vanuatu / Pacific context desirable
