The Organisation

The Position
This position has immediate responsibility for the university estates & Infrastructure at Emalus campus and centers throughout Vanuatu. Academic delivery at USP relies heavily on the quality of facility and infrastructure. Under the supervision of the Campus Director and in close collaboration with the Director of Estates & Infrastructure in Laucala the officer will ensure that facilities are maintained to levels that support high level of delivery of USP services.
The position of Estates & Infrastructure Coordinator is expected to provide leadership and supervision of the Estates & Infrastructure maintenance team based at each regional campus. The officer has roles in ensuring Maintenance Operations, Building Insurance and Engineering certifications, lease management; renewal of Service Level agreements and ensure that campus facilities are efficiently managed. He/she will ensure the highest possible level in service delivery in terms of managed properties and facilities, OHS, ensuring at all times that university requirements are followed.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Minimum of 5 years relevant experience managing estate maintenance and infrastructure
► Relevant degree with 5 years’ experience in managing infrastructure and estate maintenance OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation
► Sound knowledge of computer systems and experience and competency in MS Office tools
► A strong customer service orientation and good inter-personal skills
► Strong supervisory skills, experience in multitasking and within tight deadlines and strong ethics – a person of integrity
► Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail, be results focused, a team player and committed to the organization
► Must have good organizational skills, demonstrated problem solving skills, demonstrated ability to plan and implement projects, able to work under minimum supervision within broad guidelines
► Be willing to work after hours and during the weekends
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Preferably holds a current and valid Vanuatu driver’s license
