We are engaged in projects all over the world. Our clients are ODA-related institutions such as JICA (Japan Overseas Cooperation Agency), and private companies and organizations that seek opportunities of starting or expanding their business.

The Position

KMC is seeking to recruit a suitable person to support our feasibility survey (including pilot project) on a rural electrification sector.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Native Bislama speaker and have a good communication skill in English (Speaking/Listening/Writing); Business level required.

► Have a personal network of any rural places in Vanuatu where we can conduct the pilot project (example, Vao Island, Malekula, Malampa - which is our current pick).

► Work available from Nov 5th, 2021, to Dec 10th, 2021 (work at home). And Possible to accompany with our survey at Port Vila and a rural area for total 3 weeks (21days) on around Jan or Feb 2022 (Tentative)

► Work as a team player with Japanese consultants

► Work experiences at least over 3 years

► Work experiences in a rural electrification sector

► Lives in Port Vila, Vanuatu

► Required to have a personal connection with a key person of the village and have a skill to guide us around the village.

The Consultant/Research Assistant must meet all the following criteria for the pilot project:

A) The area should be a rural village in a small island (example, Vao Island, Malekula, Malampa - which is our current pick).

B) The area should be Off-the-grid of electricity, where we can find several electric generating equipment in use, such as Solar Home System (SHS).

C) You must have a personal connection with a key person in the village.

D) You must have enough skill to guide us around the village.

E) There must be more than one small vendor (general merchandise store) in the village.

F) We must be able to reach Port Vila every day from this neighboring small island where we conduct the pilot project.
