The Organisation

Vanuatu Beverage Limited is the most advanced and largest beverage manufacturer in Vanuatu offering many popular drinks including Vanuatu Water, Splashe, Prima, Orchy and other brands, all manufactured locally.

The Position

The Chief Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

► Manage accounting department and staff.

► Manage and maintain general ledger in accounting software SAGE, including all expenses, income, salaries, stock, depreciation, and other accounts as listed under the French accounting system.

► Manage debit and credit entries and reconcile bank/cash with payments/income.

► Prepare VAT declaration and excise tax declaration.

►Prepare daily cashflow report and oversee the preparation of cheques and international transfers

► Follow up daily operations with bank and resolve any issues that may occur.

► Prepare monthly financial statements and submit to management.

► Prepare annual audit and assist auditing firm during audit period.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Minimum 5 years experience in a similar or related position

► Honest, trustworthy, reliable
