The Organisation

The goal of the Vanuatu Health Program (VHP) is to support the Ministry of Health (MoH) achieve the health objectives of the NSDP and its commitment to the delivery of health services demanded at national, provincial and local levels for a healthy, secure and productive population. The end of program outcomes (EOPOs) are:

(a) Ministry of Health (MoH) senior staff lead continuous improvement and strengthened accountability of the Vanuatu health sector; and

(b) MoH corporate services, public health and clinic services staff increase delivery of equitable, accessible, and better-quality essential health services.

The Position

The Quality and Audit officer will be responsible for ensuring that the organization’s Quality Management System is managed effectively, reviewed, and continually improved. The Quality and Audit officer must ensure that data is collected, evaluated, reported, and reviewed.

12 month initial contract with the Vanuatu Health Program with the possibility of continued employment through the Ministry of Health.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, Master is preferred or Graduated certificate in Tertiary teaching or Training and Assessment Education (TAE) Cert. IV.

► Skills, knowledge, experience in the design and execution of the self-assessment/auditing process.

► Experience designing policies and procedures.

► Ability to manage multiple projects at a same time.

► Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Be a registered nurse with the Vanuatu Nursing Council.

► Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and networking skills.

► Highly developed interpersonal skills.

► English or French and Bislama.
