The Organisation
JVK was formed as a limited liability company in Bangkok, Thailand in 1979. Focused primarily on the international and local movement of household goods in the early years, JVK established itself as a leader in this unique transportation field.
As the company grew, JVK’s service scope broadened to include record management services and warehouse and distribution services. Over the past two decades, JVK has also expanded its operations regionally, with offices in Fiji, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
The Position
The Assistant Branch Manager – Port Vila, will report to the Managing Director for the Pacific Region. The role will be responsible for day-to-day removal operations, business development, and financial performance of the branch.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Minimum 5-10 years of management experience in international moving/logistics/freight forwarding roles
► Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in Management, Accounting or Business Administration
► A proven track-record of managing logistics in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
► Excellent written and oral communication skills
► Excellent relationship management and networking skills
► Demonstrated experience in achieving targets or results within a professional team environment
► Strong planning and organising skills.
► Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
► Good judgment and decision-making skills.
► Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes and to use these to work effectively across a wide network
► Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people from a range of cultures and backgrounds.
