The Position
The Senior Designer is responsible to deliver design drafting in line with project requirements and company standards. The Senior Designer is typically accountable for the delivery of Architectural and Structural design drafting under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Lead Designer. Direction and guidance are expected to be given to less experienced technical staff. The designer must have significant experience in working autonomously and developing and delivering projects. The designer must have experience with AutoCAD and 3D modeling capability would be preferable but not required.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Must have Diploma or similar type education and be a Vanuatu Citizen
► Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously until a project is complete.
► Must have exposure to reinforced concrete, steel, timber, cyclone & earthquake designs.
► Must have an understanding in the practical application of building design and using AutoCAD design software.
► Must have a minimum of 5 years experience.
Desirable Selection Criteria
► 3D modelling capability is desirable.
