The Organisation
The Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) is Vanuatu's national tourism marketing organisation, responsible for promoting Vanuatu as a travel destination in overseas markets.
The Position
The successful applicant will be responsible for producing content for VTO’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) aimed at maximizing audience engagement, awareness, and interest in Vanuatu as a tourism destination. The applicant will also be required to assist with the distribution of VTO’s digital assets and other marketing collateral.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Proven ability to write marketing copy and come up with concepts for social media marketing posts;
► Proven track record of working in social media marketing, with at least two years’ experience;
► Proven understanding of social media marketing concepts such as engagement rate, clickthrough rate, reach and analytics;
► Be a dedicated person who can perform under pressure with limited supervision and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
► You must be a Ni-Vanuatu citizen or resident to apply for this role
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Be computer literate, and have intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (e.g. Photoshop, Premiere);
► Be a creative, flexible thinker, and attentive to detail;
► Be able to take direction from supervisors;
► Be analytical, innovative and able to drive change; Possess strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to make public presentations and to represent VTO to industry stakeholders.
