The Organisation

Air Vanuatu is Vanuatu's national airline and reaches international destinations across Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Fiji. It operates 27 domestic routes, has a fleet of 6 aircraft and engages over 440 staff and employees.

The Position

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planning Manager who is expert in continued airworthiness, holds effective and proven management attributes and will effectively lead and direct a small team of maintenance planners. You will be confident in providing continual oversight of the maintenance planning team to ensure timely forecasts, planning and scheduling of maintenance events to maintain CAAV compliance. The Maintenance Planning Manager must be enthusiastic and excited by the unique challenges of working with the leading national airline of a developing country.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Have held supervisory or management roles in maintenance planning for three years or more

► Be acceptable to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vanuatu (CAAV) as a fit and proper delegate for the role

► Be familiar with current generation maintenance planning systems

Desirable Selection Criteria

► Part 66 AMEL or equivalent with relevant ratings

► Prior experience with aircraft induction and lease returns

► Prior experience working or liaising with civil aviation regulators

► Established credible cross-cultural & cross airline divisional/disciplinary relationships
